In this role you will be a key member of Medtronic’s center-led Indirect Supply Management (ISM) team and will report to the Sr Sourcing Manager for Travel and Fleet. This is a newly created global role that gives you the opportunity to partner with stakeholders across many functions, regions, and businesses. You will work with the internal ISM team and cross-functional partners to identify opportunities to utilize Medtronic’s Travel, Expense and Fleet policies to drive value for the organization. You will be expected to understand the policies, know the data and work to implement the policies through the systems Medtronic utilizes for Travel, Expense and Fleet.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

• As the Principal Sourcing Specialist-Travel & Fleet, you will:

  • Since this is a newly created role, you will start by working with Sr Sourcing Manager and Sr Sourcing Specialist assigned to set up project plan
  • Partner closely with the center-led category managers for Travel, Expense and Fleet to understand and implement key pan-Medtronic strategies
  • Manage the project plan and implementation of strategies
  • Partner with data analytics and finance teams to develop robust reporting of global spend data for the assigned categories
  • Utilize global dataset to find opportunities to improve policy compliance
  • Engage and influence stakeholders; Medtronic is a highly matrixed organization and having the ability to influence and leverage the matrix is a key requirement.
