Plant Maintenance Mechanic IV - Electrician

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience of relevant experience and may require vocational or technical education and advanced certification in addition to prior work experience.
• Current Active Motor Vehicle License
• Possession of a Current and Active Massachusetts Electrician’s License – Journeyman Level (this license is required due to Massachusetts Regulations concerning work on electrical distribution systems)

Nice to Have:

• Knowledge of industrial electrical distribution systems
• Skilled in use of hand and power tools required in service of electrical equipment.
• Experience with performing lockout/tagout on simple and complex  electrical distribution systems.
• Knowledge of electrical hazards and appropriate safety practices required to be observed during equipment servicing to include arc flash and shock protection requirements as outlined in NFPA 70E
• Knowledge of electro-mechanical principles
• Knowledge of equipment preventive and predictive maintenance principles
• Ability to inspect and evaluate facilities equipment for proper operation and perform routine maintenance, cleaning and adjustment
• Abilty to conduct tests on equipment and to analyze and troubleshoot problems in electrical equipment
• Skilled in the use of electrical testing equipment such as multi-meters, signal tracing equipment, and thermography equipment. 
• Ability to operate vehicles requiring possession of a DOT medical certificate
• Progressive technical certifications.
• Ability to work overtime as required.
• In depth knowledge of machinery maintenance.
• Good electrical problem-solving skills.
• Good mechanical problem-solving skills.
• Able to define PM procedures and review/maintain spare parts for the equipment.
• Contact outside vendors for purchasing of materials, components, fixturing, and outside services.
• Excellent manual dexterity.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic understanding of EHS requirements.
• Able to use Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Ability to escalate equipment downtime.
• Experience with all requirements of electrical LOTO.
• Knowledge of the English and Metric measuring systems with the ability to perform mathematical conversions to each.
• Prioritize and balance workload of multiple project assignments based on business and functional objectives.
