Must Have: Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelors degree required
  • Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience with 10+ years of managerial experience, or advanced degree with a minimum 13
  • Previous or present experience in an OD/HRD function, demonstrating achievement in creating and delivering clear and relevant value for the business
  • Ability to work closely with the senior management team to develop OD solutions for business needs
  • Working within a complex US-based global, multi-cultural organization
  • Delivering solutions within dynamic environments undergoing change
  • Capacity to serve as an advisor and technical expert regarding organizational development, including organization culture and team development
  • Experience in driving and leading change
  • Knowledge of cross-cultural differences that impact our business
  • Experience in diagnostics, consultation, leading and delivering projects
  • Experience of evaluation methodologies, analytics, KPIs and reporting dashboards, etc.
  • Build close relationships within HR, working to understand changes and enhancements to offerings and their global implications within Medtronic, while avoiding unnecessary duplication of activity
  • Develop, administer and ensure continuous enhancements to key OD instruments and processes
  • Develop cost-effective, high-impact solutions that address business critical business

Nice to Have
  • Significant and deep practical understanding of and experience in practically applying OD theory to achieve business outcomes at the individual, team and business unit and organizational level.   
  • Ten to fifteen years of related OD experience in:
    • Organizational assessment,
    • Org design
    • Change management
    • Talent management
    • Employee engagement
    • Team effectiveness
    • Process creation and management (e.g., toolkits, methodologies, etc.)
    • Knowledge transfer strategies
    • Leading or significantly contributing to diverse project teams and deliverables development.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Ability to work within a large, complex, matrixed organization
  • Ability to exert influence without direct-line authority
  • Strong and demonstrable project management and prioritization skills
  • Knowledge of web-based tools and systems, performance/talent management processes and systems, leadership assessments, cost-benefit analyses.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project).
  • Track record of proven success within Organization Development and/or Organization Effectiveness and change
  • Requires highest knowledge and mastery of multiple job areas typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience. Viewed as the leading expert and / or resource within the field by peers within and outside the organization.
