LOCATION: This role is required to sit onsite in Boulder- supporting Colorado Campus projects
Travel: 5-10% domestically

As a core member of the Operational Excellence team, you will have responsibility for the planning and execution of strategic Lean improvement projects at the Boulder Manufacturing plant.

A Day in the Life
• Plans, performs and implements process improvement initiatives (such as Lean or Six Sigma)
• Diagrams and evaluates existing processes
• Organizes, leads and facilitates cross-functional project teams
• Develops metrics that provide data for process measurement, identifying indicators for future improvement opportunities
• Collects data to identify root cause of problems
• Measures performance against process requirements
• Aligns improvement to performance shortfalls
• Provides consultation on the use of re-engineering techniques to improve process performance and product quality
• May deliver presentations and training courses including measurement, analysis, improvement and control
• Surveys and analyzes best practices for techniques and processes
• Communicates team progress
• Performs cost and benefit analyses
- Bachelors degree required
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with 0 years of experience
Nice to Have
•Power BI and/or Power App Experience
•Green Belt, Black Belt, and/or Lean Training
•Lean Sigma Green Belt certification or equivalent
•Experience with Medtronic Cell Conversions or Lean transformations
•Experience with Medtronic’s Performance System and Policy Deployment
•DMAIC experience
•Ability to lead and/or coordinate high-impact process improvement projects
•Ability to manage multiple projects
•Proven skills working with cross-functional teams and presentation skills
•Proven ability to solve as well as lead others through complex problem resolution
•Demonstrated transformational abilities utilizing 5S and Visual Factory techniques
•History of delivering tangible results measured in employee satisfaction and engagement, financial savings, cycle and lead time reductions
