 Minimum Requirements

•  Bachelor's degree
•  10 years’ experience directly supporting microbiology, chemistry or similar experiences in a technical/scientific area. 
• Strategic laboratory planning
• Budgeting and Profit and Loss experience.
•  The Lab Director must conform and maintain the SOP’s and documentation that applies to the laboratory work areas.  This includes proper documentation techniques, updating the SOP’s, training on the SOP’s and knowledge of the GLP regulations that apply to their area. 
• ISO 17025 Accreditation Knowledge: The Lab Director must have proven ability to conform and maintain the ISO 17025 accreditation for the labs with in the Center Led organization.

Nice to Have

• Ability to understand the microbiological and toxicological impact on processes and products as it relates to risk management.
• Knowledge of applicable ASTM, ISO, FDA and EN regulatory standards.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills, strong oral and written communications skills, and excellent interpersonal skills. Strong people management capabilities and passion for developing and coaching talent.
• Computer proficiency using word processors, spreadsheet, and project management.
• Able to apply advanced scientific principles.
• Good oral and written communication skills. Excellent presentation skills. 
• Must be able to handle multiple tasks/projects and manage business unit priorities accordingly. 
• Must be able to work in a team environment, including cross-functional teams, and exert influence without alienating others
