BASIC QUALIFICATIONS 

  • A university degree in the health sciences.  Preference will be given to candidates with additional training (i.e., Masters or Ph.D. level education in Epidemiology, Health Economics, Public Health/Health Policy, or equivalent in Life Sciences, M.D.  or Pharm. D., or equivalent).
  • At least 3 years in pharmaceutical medical devices  industry-related experience in a role involving reimbursement-related activities (e.g.,  competitive market assessments, trend analysis, scientific writing) or similar government experience.

 

EDUCATION REQUIRED

  • Post-graduate degree in Economics, Health Economics, Medicine, Life Sciences or Statistics.
  • Proficiency in English and Spanish required (reading, writing and speaking)

 

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE

  • 3+ years reimbursement experience in HE/HTA/funding role at a medical device, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, specialist HEOR consulting company, or an HTA or Payer body.
  • Proven successes engaging with stakeholders: Internal – including marketing, market development, clinical and pricing; External - including payers and HTA/clinical key opinion leaders.

 

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

  • Lead the planning and development of sound HE arguments  including robust  health economic modeling and incremental cost effectiveness ratio analyses, to produce quality health-economic data.
  • Lead the planning, development and delivery of robust  HE arguments.

 

PREFERRED/DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Master´s degree in Health Economics, Economics, Hospital Administration or related field
  • Prior experience in with companies in the medical industry or similar regulated industry preferred
