POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

AOP Leadership, Planning & Forecasting
• Provide leadership in the development of the AOP and ongoing forecasting, establishing and maintaining strong collaboration with each of the business unit and geography senior leaders
• Model dynamic market conditions, develop business options to respond to changes including assessment of the growing challenges of the Latin American distribution channels
• Provide leadership in planning and forecasting business needs vs product availability, with inclusion of the regional product and financial resources

Team Leadership
• Provide leadership for the Finance function across the region, ensuring both local and remote needs are met, and supporting an environment of business partnership across the region
• Lead the Talent Development and Management of both the local and matrixed team members and ensure functional excellence in delivery across the region
• Develop an environment and processes that attracts, trains, develops and retains outstanding talent

Business Partnering
• Demonstrate strength in developing positive working relationships with key business and geography managers.
• Effectively influence decision making process by taking initiative to communicate appropriate courses of action backed by sound financial analysis.
• Stay continuously informed on industry and competitive issues across the region


Planning and Reporting
• Summarize and communicate operational performance accurately, thoroughly and understandably in a timely manner.
• Interface with Financial Planning in the development of appropriate project plans and departmental budgets according to the established targets
• Evaluate adequacy of revenue and spending plans in light of overall divisional objectives, and offer guidance to meet those goals
• Own the oversight of financial analysis and relevance to the incentives in the region

Finance and Accounting Knowledge
• Demonstrate a broad and in-depth understanding of both GAAP and local regional finance regulations, as well as the ability to interpret and apply those principles to business processes to ensure compliance with established standards.

Financial Analysis
• Plan, and organize relevant business information that clearly identifies performance, risks and opportunities in a concise format, usable by executive and operations management
• Apply quantitative skills, logical thinking, and past experience to arrive at meaningful conclusions and recommendations
• Leverage internal and external resources to develop innovative solutions that address business issues

Technology Knowledge
• Identify information needs of the business and its customers, and lead the analysis and implementation of information systems strategies as appropriate.
• Support market assessment or cost improvement initiatives through appropriate financial analysis.
• Lead the adoption of ERP and other finance management systems to ensure accurate business insights

Professional Leadership
• Demonstrate ability to work well in diverse, complex and sometime volatile high growth environment.
• Display strong influence management skills, effective interpersonal written and oral communication, and self-motivation to succeed.
• Exhibit flexibility in taking on multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritizing effectively, and working independently.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS 

 

EDUCATION REQUIRED 

  • B.A./B.S. in Finance/Accounting or similar field
  • CPA and/or MBA/M.A./M.S preferred

 

 

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in Finance/Accounting
  • 5+ years’ experience in providing work direction and leadership to people and teams

 

SKILLS REQUIRED

 

  • Previous leadership experience in a high-growth or developing market businesses
  • Working knowledge of financial systems. SAP experience highly desired. Hyperion also a plus.
  • Experience in a global, matrix management structure.
  • Strong leadership & delegation skills
  • Excellent oral and written communications; effective interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and lead others who may or may not report to this position.
  • Results oriented and a strong sense of urgency; ability to prioritize rapidly and strong problem solving skills; excellent decision making/analysis skills; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Effective in interactions at all levels of the company.
  • Must have a high sense of urgency in providing a strong level of service and follow through.
  • Track record of bringing tangible value to business.
  • Excellent knowledge of Spanish language required, verbal, reading and writing
