In this exciting Manufacturing Technician role, you will be part of the dedicated, experienced, and high-performing Technician team at the Medtronic Energy and Component Center (MECC) in Brooklyn Center, MN. At this facility, we design, develop, and manufacture components used in Medtronic medical devices. In this role you will gain experience with advanced manufacturing processes and equipment, supporting the manufacturing of components for medical devices such as pacemakers, neurostimulators, and deep-brain stimulators. You will be a key member of the operations team, ensuring optimal equipment performance to support daily production as well as driving improvements to support manufacturing stability. This is for a 2nd shift schedule.

A Day in the Life

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Performs installation, maintenance, and repairs on line manufacturing or plant equipment.
  • Locates and diagnoses failures, replaces defective components, and performs basic troubleshooting using standard electronic equipment, detailed drawings, diagrams, sketches, specifications, prints, manuals, and verbal and/or written instructions.
  • Maintains appropriate maintenance and repair logs.
  • Uses a variety of hand, power, and test tools and equipment.
  • May redesign optical, vacuum, electrical, electronic, or mechanical systems for incorporation on existing manufacturing equipment.
  • May estimate labor and equipment costs and prepare requisitions as required.
Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience and may require vocational or technical education or certification in addition to prior work experience
  • Must have a high school diploma, or equivalent

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
