This program is part of a large initiative to increase the STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) talent pipeline driven by the Society of Women Engineers and iRelaunch, a career re-entry firm.

 

CAREERS 2.0 Applicants must meet the following minimum qualifications:  

·         A current career break from engineering of two or more years

·         An undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university

·         Minimum of 4 years of relative professional experience; excluding internships

·         Previous experience working in a collaborative and diverse environment

·         R&D Engineer- Mounds View, MN
Position Description:
At our Research & Development Department in Medtronic, we focus on the development of cutting edge medical 
devices in the Cardiac and Vascular space. 

Our Engineers are directly involved in the development of innovative products for use in medical procedures. 

Research and Development Engineers  are directly involved in design, development and testing of  next generation 
 Cardiac and Vascular devices.


·         Sr Reliability Engineer- Mounds View, MN  
Position Description:
As a Senior Reliability Engineer, this position is responsible to ensure compliance of process validation, process controls, and design validation and verification activities with established requirements and regulatory expectations. Ensure products are developed and manufactured with highest product quality and meet all applicable product quality, design and manufacturing process requirements. They will ensure the application of appropriate statistical methods and concepts such as FMEA, DOE, Critical parameter identification, GR&R, and control planning to ensure the transfer and release of robust and manufacturing procedures using capable equipment to produce products. They will support and contribute to successful completion of projects including CAPA’s and represent the organization as a technical contact for reliability. Provide support in areas of process engineering and quality engineering to support continuous process and product improvements. Partner with R&D, Quality and Pilot Manufacturing Operations in the execution of manufacturing process IQ/OQ and PQ for AF ablation products. They will support master validation planning, including execution of process validation


·         Prin Continuous Improvement Engineer- Santa Rosa, CA 
Position Descpription:
The Principal Continuous Improvement engineer will work within the Aortic and Peripheral Vascular R&D group to execute one or more business and product development improvement projects over the course of a 6 month time period, as part of Medtronic’s Careers 2.0 program.

This role will require the ability to apply systems engineering, 6 sigma DMAIC tools, and strong influence and collaboration skills to make critical improvements to work processes.  The position interacts with internal technical stakeholders at individual contributor, management, and senior management levels, often requiring coordination between organizations.  If you considering a return to the workforce, and are looking for an opportunity to apply your technical prowess and collaboration skills, to help our organization solve key problems, and to make an impact within a fast paced and growing business, please apply.


·         Sr Continuous Improvement Engineer- Brooklyn Center, MN
Position Description:
The Continuous Improvement Engineering Internship will support a cell operating system (COS) transformation in one of MECC’s many production lines. The COS transformation initiative is a multi-year lean strategy to align production lines with principles of the Shingo Model. The Continuous Improvement engineer will work as a Lean Manufacturing change agent and coach others involved in the project. This position will be responsible to execute continuous improvement initiatives across the site and coach continuous improvement practitioners in problem solving and program management. This will require the ability to educate and motivate individuals at different levels of the organization and the ability to manage major projects and programs to a successful and timely conclusion. Additionally, this position will support new product introductions to ensure that the manufacturing processes, equipment and the production cells are ‘born lean’. The position interacts with various levels and functions across the organization


·         Associate Product Development Engineer/Associate Research and Development Engineer- Santa Rosa, CA
Medtronic has a position available for Associate Product Development Engineer/Associate Research and Development Engineer.  The candidate will work on development of innovative products to treat diseases of the vascular system. This position requires technical skills in the development of innovative products to treat diseases of the vascular system. The position will apply principles, theories, and concepts while working collaboratively to solve technical problems. This position will work under close supervision, with responsibility for a specific project important to the overall outcome of the program. 


·         Product Development Engineer/ Research and Development Engineer- Santa Rosa, CA
Medtronic has a position available for Product Development Engineer/ Research and Development Engineer.  The candidate will work on development of innovative products to treat diseases of the vascular system. This position requires technical skills in the development of innovative products to treat diseases of the vascular system. The position will apply principles, theories, and concepts while working collaboratively to solve technical problems. This position will work under supervision, with responsibility for a specific project important to the overall outcome of the program

·         IC Design Engineer- Tempe, AZ
Provide expertise for ultra-low power digital design for Integrated Circuit (IC) designs for medical devices by using and applying technical standards, principles, theories, concepts, and techniques; applies extensive technical expertise to a variety of technical problems of high level scope and complexity; develop technical solutions to complex problems that require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity to low-power electrical designs that support new features and new therapies for pacing, defibrillation and pain stimulation
