Perform assembly operations in a clean room environment. Follow manufacturing process instructions, using equipment and basic hand tools to cut, measure, and bond small parts.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Perform Sensor Fabrication and/or assembly operations, including but not limited to: Electro plating, Enzyme application, Adhesion promoter application, Glucose Limiting Membrane application, Laser, Singulation, encasement, assembly, and Final Packaging.
• Follow Procedures, methods and sequence of operations in performing daily tasks.
• Operate the following equipment: Plating Machines, Spin coater, Level AP Dispenser, CVD chamber, GLM puddle casting, Laser cutting and any future equipment for the Fab Area (E.G. slot coater, Singulation machine, etc.)
• Ensure all product, material, parts, and documentation follow Company specifications and quality standards.
• Become proficient in Lean operating principles, and help facilitate their application to the line.
• Actively contribute to ongoing continuous improvement efforts and projects.
• Work under close supervision, on routine work and general duties.
• Communicate constantly with supervisor and group lead, regarding issues that may come up on the line.
• Foster a good working relationship with peers, managers and engineering staff.
• Maintain device History Records.
• Handle production materials and chemicals per operating procedures.
• Performs a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies such as modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables.
• Works from visual aids, method layouts, diagrams, schematics, process flow sheets and written or verbal assembly instructions.
• Sets initial layouts, and uses hand and/or power tools, jigs, and saws.
• Makes continuity checks on work in process and completed.
• May conduct quality inspections on processing line in accordance with quality specifications.
• May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION, THE FOLLOWING BASIC QUALIFICATIONS MUST BE EVIDENT ON YOUR RESUME
• High School Graduate / GED with 6 years of experience
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in assembly / fabrication on a manufacturing line and/or clean room environment within the medical device industry
• Experience operating manufacturing equipment
• Previous Medtronic Experience
DESIRED/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Basic computer skills needed, in Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to effectively present information to other employees.
• Experience with Medtronic Diabetes business, especially glucose sensor preferred
• Experience with SAP preferred
• Training in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and knowledge of Food and Drug Administration (FDA), QSR, and ISO 9000 requirements.
