Must Have
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience
Preferred Technical Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and a minimum of 10 years’ experience in relevant work with 2 years in a regulated industry
  • Experience researching & developing navigation technologies based on sensing, computer vision, and machine leaning
  • Experience of developing one or many of the following component technologies: 3D sensing, object
identification, object tracking, registration, sensor fusion, SLAM (bonus: in a surgical field with soft tissue)   
  • Detailed understanding of critical performance criteria that help make algorithm and platform choice
  • Working knowledge of processing platform (FPGA, GPU, CPU, memory) that runs efficient algorithms for real-time operations
  • Understanding of medical imaging modalities such as pre-scan 3D CT/MRI for image-guided surgery
  • Agile SW development experience for quick iterations towards maturity
  • Understanding of robotics and real-time operating systems
Preferred Project Leadership Experience
  • A proven leader of innovation on multiple, multidisciplinary projects
  • Proven ability to translate high level program objectives into action plans for an R&D team in order to meet short- and long-term goals and timelines
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate, influence, and inspire others around a vision of excellence for a bright future
  • Well-developed collaboration skills with proven track record of interfacing between multiple groups and functions (R&D, QA, marketing, regulatory, and external experts)
  • Patient centric mindset with a strong desire to improve clinical outcomes
