Must haves: Minimum requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required and a minimum of 7 years of experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years’ experien

Nice to haves:

  • A minimum of Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience as a contributing member of engineering projects
  • Experience with risk management process e.g. FMEA
  • Advanced knowledge of system-level hardware and software design & development, requirements definition, analysis, and risk mitigation
  • Proven track record contributing to products of high complexity
  • Demonstrated skills in managing priorities
  • Experience working with multiple teams on concurrent, interdependent projects
  • Experience with relevant technologies including:
  • Mechatronics
  • Mechanical engineering (particularly high-accuracy motor-controlled mechanisms)
  • Electrical engineering (particularly networked / embedded computing elements)
  • Sensors and actuators
  • Solid understanding of structured product development (requirements-driven engineering, documentation, rigorous verification, etc.)
  • Redundant and safety-critical systems
  • ISO 60601, 62304, 14971. Well-versed in medical product R&D and clinical/regulatory process
  • Fluency in English required

Working Conditions:

  • Standard office setting, clean room, surgical lab, operating room, pilot lab, external research organizations, supplier visits, travel as required
  • Based in Boston, MA
  • International traveling may be required
