Principal Atomic Spectroscopy Analytical Chemist
- Requires mastery of atomic spectroscopy and full knowledge of industry practices, typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
Requires a Baccalaureate degree (or for degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree which satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)( 4)(iii)(A)
Minimum 7 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
Advanced technical knowledge of ICP-OES and/or ICP-MS
Thorough understanding of decomposition chemistry and techniques for atomic spectroscopy analysis including dry ashing, wet ashing, open and closed vessel wet oxidation, and microwave assisted digestion using mineral acids including HNO3, HF, HCl, H2SO4, and HClO4.
Experience and understanding of cGMP, ISO17025, ISO10993, FDA and ICH requirements
Ability to manage complex projects including work delegation and review of work products
Strong interpersonal skills

Experience in other analytical chemistry techniques, i.e. Titrations, Physical Property Measurements, Moisture Analysis, Particle Size, Surface Area, etc.
