Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors degree required in engineering, industrial management or other appropriate field is required along with at least fifteen years of operations experience.
  • Masters or other Advanced Degree with at least 13 years of operations experience.
  • Minimum of 10+ years of relevant experience of progressive operations leadership experience with prior experience as a plant manager or equivalent. Must have a strong blend of technical and business experience. 

 

Nice to Have

  • Prior experience in medical device manufacturing industry highly desirable.
  • Prior experience in machining of specialty/medical grade titanium and stainless steel highly desirable.
  • Prior experience in implementing and adhering to ISO, FDA Good Manufacturing
  • Practices, OSHA and EPA guidelines required.
  • Knowledge of all applicable and regulatory standards (including but not limited to; (ISO 13485, MDD and CMDR).Knowledge and practical experience in implementation of Six Sigma and LEAN manufacturing techniques to obtain improvements and reduce costs.

FUNCTIONING FACTORS: 


Supervisory Relationships: Directs and controls the activities of one or more functional areas, geographies, divisions, product groups, service groups, etc. through senior managers and/or directors with overall responsibility for the direction of those assigned areas. Determines actual organizational structures and allocation of subordinate management responsibilities. Provides leadership, coaching and career development.

 

Interaction/ Liaison: Serves as a principal spokesperson for the division, group, company or corporation on highly significant matters. Interacts with leaders and executives to identify strategic initiatives and activities needed to drive business strategy.


Operations Involvement:  Provides direction, leadership and coaching to employees within their functional areas, geographies, divisions, product groups, service groups, etc

Predominant authority for development of new processes, standards, or operational plans based on business strategy. Responsible for the overall success of assigned functions and for successfully integrating these activities with those of other major organizational segments.  Utilizes knowledge in medical device and regulatory bodies to make critical decisions as it relates to the activities within the

organization.  Involved in daily operational activities as needed.

 

Impact/ Discretion:  Decisions affect the success of the division, group, company or corporation.

Erroneous decisions would normally result in failure to achieve critical goals and objectives  and impact the successful execution of broader business strategy
