Advanced Analytics Programmer/Analyst
- Bachelor’s Degree in economics, statistics, computer science, mathematics or a related scientific field
- Minimum 2 years experience working with observational data and with large healthcare datasets including electronic health record and administrative claims data
- Or an advanced degree in economics, statistics, computer science, mathematics or a related scientific field and 0 years of experience
- Demonstrable healthcare data domain knowledge (i.e. experience working with ICD codes and CPT codes)
- Expertise in SAS/SQL programming
- Excellent attention to detail
- Project management experience
- Experience in healthcare industry (medical device, pharmaceutical, biotech, insurance, hospital, health system)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially the ability to communicate complex analytical techniques in a way that is understandable by non-quantitative audiences
- Experience in the analysis, synthesis, and presentation of complex data from multiple sources
- Computer literacy in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Experience with use of data visualization software (e.g. Spotfire, Tableau)
- Experience with programming and analysis of therapeutic or diagnostic device-collected data
- Experience with R or scripting languages (e.g. Python, Visual Basic)
- Experience with Medicare data or Optum data
- Proven ability to work effectively in a highly matrixed organization
- Proven relationship-building and maintaining skills with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
- Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
